Sweet Maxx adopted and returned for the 2nd time, this sweet dog loves separtion anxiety, he loves people and other dogs he needs a home where they have alot of land or someone home all the time.

The first home he went to , they loved him and their lil shih tzu but when he was crated he ate through the crate, they adored him!! The second home their fence was not high enough, they loved him and he loved their son and their min pin. He was fine when they were home but they left him alone in the house he got out through the window.

Maxx is so sad right now it breaks my heart he misses his owner we took him out in the yard to meet other dogs and he loves everybody, even when the lil ones growl at him he still tries to play!!

The lost doggie is a female basset hound. I do not know the owner, Bob - just forwarded the e-mail I received in order to spread the word. This one is a keeper. Very young lady approx. 10-12 months old, all shots, spayed and housebroken. She was rescued in September by a man who has 3 very small dogs who kept arguing with "Sadie" She finally had enough and argued back last night! Now he says she has to go cause he has had his dogs for many years. She is the most precious docile little girl with a great personaltiy. I have until next Friday and then ???? This one just breaks my heart maybe because she looks so much like the Dutch Shepherd puppy I am fostering right now who was in a similar situation, at the shelter with an injury she acquired by the adoptive family that was dumping/returning her! Now thanks to MuttMatchLA who rescued my little foster (you may remember her as the Peekaboo puppy from South LA) she had her surgery and is living in my loving home where she plays and walks with my dogs and LOVES my 2 year old daughter! My little Dutch Shepherd foster is sweet, loving, extremely intelligent, guards my little one and is just an incredible dog-which I am sure this little girl Bridget is as well. I know it is the weekend, but this puppy is only 8 months old and is on the euthanasia list for the end of the day. BARCS is totally out of space and this poor dog has old bite wounds all over his face making him unadoptable by Baltimore city law..his only option is your rescue!!!!

Here is Charleston's story:
One day someone may have cared about this dog, but that day was long long ago. Charleston was found by animal control officers in Baltimore city. He was tied to a fence in a vacant yard. He was malnourished, neglected and pretty beat-up. The animal control officer thinks that this dog may have been used to train (use as bait at one point), but we can't say for sure.

Charleston is an outgoing, eclectic 8 month old puppy that just wants human affection. He will be euthanized if I can't find a rescue by the end of the day. He was supposed to be euthanized the other day, but the staff is so in love with him, and just can't come to terms with the fact that he isn't able to go-up for adoption. He is young and loving!

Be his hero. Please??????

Here is the info on Twilight. He could be shown now if someone wants to see him at Annette's.

Remember TWILIGHT, the Thanksgiving dog we rescued from North Central? Well, Twilight had a funny walk then which has been completely corrected and he is just a puppy. He has his whole life to have fun!
He is a Beagle/lab mix, about 1-1/2 years old. He has been socialized and gets along with other dogs and children. He has puppy energy.

He needs a forever home. He has been in therapy or foster for a long time. If you are interested, you can see him at the place he is staying, a boarding/training home in Old Topanga near Calabasas. When he is adopted, the trainer will go to the new home and socialize him into his new environment and remain AVAILABLE to go to the new home.

I love this dog and he has been my responsibility since he was on his last days. He was my THANKSGIVING GIFT. (He and Roger - if you remember Roger, the dog who had stem cell surgery to save his leg).

Cully's dad, Dave, was KIA in Afghanistan and he is too much for the family right now. Cully has been through alot in the past year. It is a sensitive case for the family so we have found the dog a place to go to outside the home. His foster home will not be able to keep him after the 28th of June. The following canine needs a rescue commitment ASAP!! His time is up tomorrow, (06/10). He MUST be out of his boarding facility by 5:00 pm, not just a rescue commitment. I can move him to another boarding facilty at $5/night until a transport can be lined up, if that helps. I will not be able to transport him tomorrow night, but can meet someone Friday night.

This poor little guy was discovered today in an abondoned home. The people moved out 9 days ago, and just threw a bag of food on the floor for him, and left the toilet up. No windows open and no air on. He has been checked out by a Vet, who says he is in very good condition. Sheriff says since he was abondoned for 9 days he does not need to be held for the 5 day Missouri required hold - that the action was sufficient for abondonment.

I will be traveling tomorrow, so I need commitment from a rescue before 3PM, so that I can make sure he is pulled out in time (Before his deadline of 5:00 pm). My cell is: 816-332-1021, or you can text me at this number. Our home office phone is down due to the storm yesterday, and will not be repaired until tomorrow late.

I will NOT have email access tomorrow either.

Nancy is a sweet Belgian Shepherd/Border Collie mix girl. She's only 3 years old and weighs about 50 pounds. Nancy desperately needs a foster ASAP for us to take her in.
A kind man saved her from the Downey animal control months ago when he learned that she was abandoned in an empty home in Commerce. But he is moving to a place that only allows his one personal pet, and Nancy is now in dire need of a new place.

Nancy is VERY sweet, lovable, eager to please, gentle, and friendly to people and other dogs. She has been great with his other dog, and things were just perfect. Nancy is spayed, vaccinated, chipped, and the gentleman spent more than $400 on all her routine care vet visits.

Please rescue or adopt beautiful young Charlene at the LA East Valley Shelter!
From the moment I saw Charlene at the mobile pet adoption in the park, I was captivated by her soulful, golden-colored eyes. However, despite their beauty, they held such sadness. I went over to her handler to learn her story and was told that she was dumped in the shelter on March 2, obviously having had puppies not long before. I was told she is about 2-years old and her kennel card identifies her as a Greyhound and Staffordshire Bull Terrier (maybe that’s why she has yet to be adopted). Whatever breed(s) Charlene is mixed with, she is beautiful and unique and she has a gentleness and easy-going nature about her.
I observed her in the park for quite a while and saw that she was not bothered by the other dogs; she allowed young children to pet her, even when she was enjoying a treat; she walked well on leash; and not once did she bark. She was treat-motivated and knew how to sit when asked. There’s a video of Charlene on http://www.youtube.com/lashelterpets that was done about a week ago and you can see her playfulness, how she has learned to roll-over, and how her tail wags when she gets attention. Yet, yesterday in the park, she appeared dejected, almost aware that her time to live may be running out.

Please cross-post this email to bring awareness that Charlene may only have until this Thursday to remain alive. This special dog will undoubtedly be such a loving and loyal companion to the guardian(s) who are willing to open their home to her. Please give Charlene a chance to enjoy the many years left in her life and bring back the glow to those golden-colored eyes of hers.

A4104656 Bianca is one of the Baldwin Park shelter staff's favorite dogs and it is easy to see why. This outstanding one year old white female spayed Mastiff/Pit bull mix puppy was found wandering the streets of Baldwin Park on April 1st and brought to the shelter. Since she arrived, this seventy-five pound girl has been on a mission to endear herself to everyone. With a medium energy level, Bianca walks well on the leash, gets along great with people, other dogs and did well when cat tested. Bianca does have some small skin issues - and she is being checked for mange - but whatever she has was caught in its early stages. She has PASSED her Temp test (Great with other dogs!).
The comments on her test result are as follows: "Very sweet dog. She was shy in the cage and did not come up to the door but wagged her tail while sitting on the bed. She was more interested in being pet then eating food. I did take a treat out of her mouth and she didn't mind. Very friendly and submissive to other dogs."

Hey everyone, this is a beautiful pit bull that was found on the streets roaming around in the (Miami) Killian and 117th Ave. area behind Miami Dade College. As you can see this dog is absolutely stunning and needs a home ASAP. He's currently being fostered by the person that found him but only has till the end of this week on the 16th. If he can't find a home unfortunately he'll be taken to Broward Animal Services. He's an unaltered male that is an extreme couch potato and would make an excellent indoor dog.

Hi Rescue Friends. I'm sending out this plea on behalf of Sharon and Beauty.

Some of you know Beauty and some do not, so below I'm pasting the plea I posted on the Senior Pet Rescue Yahoo Group. It will give you an idea of her current situation. Beauty is a dog that Sharon rescued from the nasty, run down trailer park in Meridian. Beauty deserves someone to love her, not to be sent away to a sanctuary where she will just be another dog. But, if
we cannot find her at least a foster or a permanent home, that is where she will go this weekend. Please help if you can, in anyway you can. Thank you! I have attached photos. The fourth photo was taken at the trailer park where Beauty was found. You will see how horrible it had been for her in the past.

... I also help a rescue in MS who has a very beautiful Senior (approx. 7-10 y.o.) female Rottweiler appropriately named "Beauty". We have been seeking help in finding her a safe place for quite sometime.

Beauty is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations and healthy, other than being HW+. The Vet has said she is "high" positive. I assume that means she has obvious signs and symptoms upon examination. They are not sure how much longer Beauty will live, due to her current condition.

She unfortunately is not in a good situation in her current foster home and needs to find somewhere safe to live and enjoy her last days. However long or short that may be. The neighbor of her current foster does not like animals and is believed to have recently poisoned and killed another one of her fosters, a puppy of only 2 1/2 months and has also killed a cat which was a personal pet of the foster.

I am sending out this mass email in the hopes that someone can either help or knows of someone that can with this pair of Jindo dogs that were at large in Larchmont. On Thursday 3/25 6pm I received a call from a non-rescue animal group about 2 stray dogs that had been seen on a homeowners property on the Mamaroneck/Larchmon t border. Because the dogs kept going back and forth between the borders the shelters
kept saying the other should get the dogs. I went out to see what the situation was and ended up roping the male with in the hour. The female turned out to be so scared and it took me until 2pm the following day to get her.
When both were caught they instantly because submissive and were nuzzling and kissing me. As dirty and smelly as they are they are beautiful dogs. Turns out they are purebred Jindo dogs, Korea's national treasure. I reluctantly took them to the shelter as I had no where else for them to go. They are not doing well there and I'm afraid for their life. It seems that most Jindo's do not do well in shelters and are euthanized because of it. So sad. I can't believe that I came into their lives to catch them to be euthanized.

I am asking you-all to spread the word about these two loyal dogs. They are loyal to each other (I think they are brother/sister or mother/son) she never left sight of him after I caught him.

Thursday is DDay. I would like to pull them from the shelter have them bathed and fully vetted and deliver them to a foster or even better a forever home by the weekend.

Bubbles (A1096560, only 3 months old, a long-hair chihuahua / spaniel mix???, *on alert since March 11th -- out of time !!!!!!*) came in to the shelter *full of hot air. Literally.* She had a pouch of subcutaneous air under her skin (check with medical for exact description) -- hence, her name, Bubbles. Medical staff quickly fell in love with this little one and is happy to report that *Bubbles' snaps, crackles and pops are nearly gone*.
