EXTREMELY URGENT! 72 HRS NOTICE EXPIRED ON 8/12 MASTERIO (#A5640938) NEEDS YOUR HELP
Masterio is a sweet 6 YO who arrived at the shelter as a stray on 7/22, and his time is running out! No one has come to reclaim him, and he urgently needs a loving home. He is listed as a chihuahua weighing 16.86 lbs. When he first came in, he had some health concerns: alopecia around his tail and rump, a yeast-like odor to his skin, and an inflamed third eyelid (cherry eye). The good news is, the shelter has already taken care of his cherry eye! He is currently housed in the medical building, away from public view, but this boy deserves a chance to shine.
Yesterday, volunteer @cherylgullstrand took him out for some fresh air, and he was over the moon—running around and showing just how happy he could be with a bit of love and freedom. He even enjoyed some tasty food Cheryl had brought!
Masterio’s future depends on us. You can help by adopting, fostering, pledging, or sharing his story. Let’s give this sweet boy the second chance he deserves!

Gretel is an adorable little feline who arrived at the Care Center as a stray on July 27. This poor little girl has had some rough times. When Gretel arrived, she was covered in flea dirt and it was found that she was missing several teeth. A mass was also found under her right leg, which has been removed and she is healing nicely. The vet noted that she was very friendly and calm during her initial examination. Since her surgery, however, she has become a little guarded of humans. Gretel just needs a patient adopter who will give her time to decompress from her ordeal until she knows that she’s safe, loved, and that no one is going to hurt her. She is so deserving of an indoor life where she has soft, cozy places to spend her days. Adopter will sign a health waiver and take Gretel to a personal vet for any further care that she may need.

Norma is a precious pint sized pittie mix that is so, so, scared at the shelter and needs out ASAP! However, once Norma is in a safe and patient home, she should easily be able to learn all the puppy basics, including good leash skills and other commands or training. Perla (#A5648293) is an 11-year-old sweetheart who was found as a stray on 8/26 with her companion, Precious. Sadly, no one came looking for them. 😢 Perla’s intake notes reveal she’s been struggling with health issues: ocular discharge, medicated ears, missing teeth, and tartar. Despite being unwell, Perla’s spirit remains strong. Her tail wags with joy whenever someone visits, hoping for love and comfort.🥹
This gentle granny deserves to spend her golden years in a loving home, not in a shelter. Please don’t let Perla’s story end here. She urgently needs a family to adopt her, a foster home to care for her, or pledges to support her rescue. Sharing her story could save her life.🙏
🔔Rescues can’t save dogs without a committed foster!
Precious (#A5648289), an 8-year-old sweetheart, was found wandering the streets and brought to the shelter on 8/26. Despite the care she’s received, her situation is dire. During her medical intake, the vets discovered two large masses on her lower left mammary chain. They tried to remove the tumors during her spay, but they found tumor is extensive and had multple branching into subcutaneous tissues extending ot the area rostral ot vulva. They did their best to remove as much as they could, but Precious’s future is uncertain.🥺
But despite it all, Precious’s spirit remains unbroken. When I leashed her up, she was thrilled to be out of the kennel, exploring the yard with the joy only a dog who has known little freedom can feel. After a while, she came over for some pets and scratches, her tail wagging with hope. She even became playful, and when I picked her up, she snuggled in, craving the love and safety every dog deserves.
Precious needs a miracle. She deserves to spend whatever time she has left surrounded by love, not in the confines of a shelter. Please, help her find her forever home, a place where she can finally be cherished. Whether you can adopt, foster, pledge, or share her story, every action counts.
Let’s give Precious the love she’s been waiting for her entire life. 🙏💔
